Developed in the 16th century, black teas became China's staple export to the West. For most of us, these are familiar teas. Black teas range in flavor from light-bodied to full-bodied.

White Tea
The rarest tea available today is found in China and Sri Lanka. These delicate teas are new buds picked before they open and are withered to allow the natural moisture to evaporate and then are gently dried. The flavor is subtle and must be carefully appreciated. Health benefits are similar to green tea. High in polyphenols.

Herbal Tea
Herbals are comprised of only herbs, spices, and flavorings. They do not contain the traditional black tea that comes from the camellia sinensis plant, and do not contain caffeine.
